Good Squire, pray thee shread?
Good Squire, pray thee shred? We’re proud to introduce another addition to the venerable Royal Family – the Squire. With a DIN range of 3-11, the Squire suits the skier who wants a light weight, versatile freeskiing binding that offers powerful energy transmission. Poised to take its place among the other Royal Family members, the Squire is an innovative addition to the market for mid range freeskiing bindings.

Deep

January 26th, 2010

L Butze DeepI apologize if this photo is a little misleading.  I agree that it looks a little like a resort photo of the day.  Above is a picture  of TVS’s new Mountain Rep. Lauren Butze.  We were really hoping to get a shot of Lauren ski powder, but as is always the case at TVS the camera tends to only capture shots for the blooper reel and not the highlight reel.  Regardless, I think this shot does a fantastic job at pointing out how much snow we have received in the last few days.  Apparently, Lauren was ripping powder and didn’t see a cat track.  Cartwheels ensued and when all was said and done she was briefly buried in the fluffy white stuff before surfacing for air as if she were a bait fish being forced out of the water by a giant striper.  Welcome aboard Lauren.

Loudmouth Golf Car Auction

I’d rather have a pair of Loudmouth Golf Fat Skis, but this wouldn’t be bad either.  Show your support for your favorite golf pants by biding on this classic GTO.

blog-glory-hike

With 6 inches of snowfall last night on top of about 8″ yesterday, it seemed like a good idea to wake up early for a quick run down Glory Bowl. The winds were ripping and the snow was hammering down. Luckily I had all the gear. My Swany X-Therm Mitt, Black Diamond Cosmo Headlamp, and Patagonia Powder Bowl Pants and Jacket really protected me from the elements this morning. Another 6-9″ expected today!

Outdoor Retailer 2010 Winter Edition

January 20th, 2010

red door

I apologize if I miss a post or two this week.  Some of the Teton Village Sports Gang is heading down to Salt Lake City for Outdoor Retailer.  We use this trade show to search for new products and see the new lines from our current vendors.  It is an great time of year for gear junkies like us.  Seeing next years products is always exciting.  This trip always yields great new products and usually a good story or two.  Sometimes we get kicked out of the bar pictured above for throwing boomarangs sometimes we see gun fights.  You just never know.  I just hope the folks at 66 North provide weird fish snacks at their booth again.

P.S. if you are ever in downtown SLC you should go to the Red Door.  Great bar.
