Blackmailing your boss
This is my boss. You’d think that with a picture like this I might be able to use it to my advantage. However, this guy does not fit dirty. If I were to try to blackmail him with this picture you would soon find a dozen pictures of me all over the place. He also owns my domain name so there is really nothing I can do unless I want people who google my name to got to a site in my name with scary pictures and quotes on it. So this picture will only be used for good.
Anyway, as you can tell my boss is a great tennis player. He is so good he still uses a wooden racket with a tiny head. He will play any challengers. So go ahead and try to beat him. He has a nasty backhand but his real talent is intimidation and mind games.
Not feeling motivated?
Teton Village Sport’s web guru Chip Galusha killed the Rock Run around Nantucket island. The act of completing a 50 mile running race is an astonishing feat, placing 3rd is truly remarkable. Congrats Chip! Let this be a lesson to the rest of us. Anything is possible if you just get out there and go for it.
P.S. if this is a picture of Chip it is an old one. I am sorry that I couldn’t dig up a recent photo of the kid in action.
All Hail

Duffy McGee forwarded this picture of a piece of hail that feel to earth near him today. He was on location at 3 Creek Ranch in Jackson Hole. It just so happens that 3 creek is the very spot that I witnessed the largest hail I have ever seen. It dented my car.
Keep your head down out there McGee.
In honor of the weather report

In honor of the weatherman calling for snow tomorrow morning here in beautiful Jackson Hole I thought I would put a skiing photo up. Love this shot of yours truly in B.C. Many thanks to Arc’teryx for inviting me to Dealer Camp this year. It was the trip of a lifetime. The skiing was great. The opportunity to test all of Arc’teryx’s gear should never be passed up. The Alpha SV glove is truly worthy of all the hype. I can not imagine a better location for a backcountry ski trip. Callaghan Lodge should be on the list of any backcountry enthusiast. Especially, if they like great food and lodging not to mention the appis. Many thanks to all involved and I hope to see every again soon. If not in the Callaghan Valley then somewhere similar.
Wheeling and Dealing
Teton Village Sports‘ hardgoods buyer Duffy McGee getting down to business with the Icelantic boys. Collared shirt – check, calculator – check, man purse – check, plastic cup of unidentified liquid – check, “Let’s talk about the 2011 Icelantic Shaman”.
TVS names Mountain Khakis Dealer of the Month!

Teton Village Sports named the Mountain Khakis dealer of the month!
Teton Village Sports first opened it doors over 40 years ago at the then fledging Jackson Hole Ski Resort. With the aerial tram was still a year away and against long odds, the store owners were driven to succeed by their passions for skiing, the outdoors and the mountains of Jackson Hole. Forty years and several store facilities later, Teton Village Sports is alive and well; continuing to grow and to innovate. The passion still runs deep.

It’s the thought that counts

Since I do not have a camera and I don’t do anything fun I rely on my Facebook friends to provide interesting content for this blog. The problem is that I then have to make up all the content, because I was not involved. For example: the picture above is of Teton Village Sports employee Liz “Killer” Pinnie. The title of the photo album is “It’s my birthday” so I guess she either made this pie looking thing or someone else made it for her. Killer is good at many things (like wearing sunglasses), but apparently serving pie with whipped cream topping is not her strong suit.
